Enemy

I hate to break it to you but you are my enemy
You are the chains keeping me from being free
You are the stubbornness that holds off the money
You are the greed that locks me in the dunny
You’re not funny, to anybody but yourself
You are the grime clogging up my health
Loosen up my belt
A fat cat without the wealth
You are the pebbles, you are the pelt
You are the shelf where each jar sits
You are the jars where each dream fits
You are that lid that refuses to lift
You are my ulcer, you are my cyst
You are the ringing that keeps me from bliss
You are the rock that just won’t shift
You are the warrant, the cease and desist
I am the Fredo, you are the kiss
